Yes, we do have a registration fee starting September 1st, 2025.

Absolutely! We’d be delighted to offer you a trial class. We believe in providing everyone the opportunity to experience our services before committing. Please note that the first trial class is free of charge if you choose not to proceed. However, if you decide to continue, it will be a paid class.

We understand that circumstances can change, and we want to make sure that you have the flexibility you need.

If, for any reason, you need to drop a class or Freeze, please make sure to email us at drop@shivaaydanceacademy.com  and Registershivaaydanceacademy.com

at least 3-5 business days before your renewal date (1st of every month). That way, we can process your request promptly.

Performance Opportunities for Students

Yes! Students at Shivaay Dance Academy have exciting opportunities to showcase their talent throughout the year with multiple performances and events.

Upcoming Grand Showcases (In-Person):

• December 14th, 2025 — WinterFest Gala 2025 (NY, NJ, PA, CT)

• June 6th, 2026 — Namaste Bollywood Season 4 (NY & CT)

• June 7th, 2026 — Namaste Bollywood Season 4 (PA & NJ)

• July 14th, 2025 — Summer Camp Showcase

In addition to these grand events, students may also have chances to perform at various community, cultural events, and competitions, depending on their location.

We’re proud to provide our dancers with these wonderful platforms to grow, shine, and share their passion for dance!

Dress Code for Classes

For your comfort and ease of movement during dance classes, we recommend wearing:

• Sweatpants

• Track pants

• Leggings

Please avoid:

• Jeans

• Dresses

• Any clothing that restricts movement

Comfortable attire helps you perform your best and enjoy every class!

Make-Up Class Policy

If a student misses a class, they may attend a similar class at another location with prior permission from the instructor.

Please note:

• Make-up classes are not guaranteed.

• There are no refunds or prorated tuition for missed classes.

Thank you for your understanding.

Instructor-Cancelled Classes & Make-Up Policy

If an instructor needs to cancel a class, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered with a scheduled make-up class.

To ensure you get plenty of practice, we also add extra hours during show preparations, which can serve as make-up or even pre-make-up classes!

These make-up sessions are offered both in person and via Zoom for your convenience.

Costume & Props Fees

• For the Namaste Bollywood Shivaay Annual Recital, there is an additional costume fee of $12-$15 per participant.

• For competitions or community shows, there may be additional fees for costumes and props, which can range up to $50.

We’ll always keep you informed about any fees ahead of time.

Scheduled Holidays & Breaks (2025–2026)

Please take note of our holiday schedule for the year:

• Diwali – October 19th and 20th.

• Thanksgiving – November

• Christmas & New Year – December 24th, 2025 till January 1st, 2026

• Memorial Day – May

Summer Programs
We offer summer dance classes and events throughout July and August – stay tuned for details!

Annual Summer Break
All classes in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania will end on June 26th, 2026, and resume on September 3rd, 2026.

Yes, you can cancel in the middle of the quarters. However, this is only possible if there are any medical emergencies. In such cases, we would request you to provide us with a doctor certificate, and we shall do the cancellation with a prorated fee refund. Please note that our Academy does not offer any refunds for relocation, vacation, moving out from school, or any other reasons besides medical emergencies.

Absolutely! Feel free to invite your nearest and dearest to any Event you’ve got coming up. Having loved ones around always makes things more enjoyable.

Yes! Our classes are offered for a full academic session from September 2024 until June 2025.

Mid-Quarter Enrollment

Yes! You can definitely join our classes in the middle of the quarter. We’re always welcoming new students at all our locations!

Please note:

• Both Quarterly and Monthly payment plans are available for mid-quarter enrollments.
